Question the Conventional

Huh?

I was strolling down the frozen foods section looking for something sweet and fatty (hey, I’m not going to lie to you) and I came upon a particular sugary frozen pastry that was strawberry “flavored”. The box claimed the pastry was made with “100% real fruit filling”.

What the hell does that mean? As opposed to fake fruit filling? Or, no just filling? I can only assume that in the hopes to make their food sound more palatable and appealing they decided to stamp that claim on the box.

“100% real fruit filling”. Not real fruit, fruit filling. Real fruit filling is just what it sounds.    It’s a marginal amount of fruit mixed in with loads of sugar and preservatives. Does that sound healthy?
