Are you willing…
Are you willing to do what it takes to get where you want to be with your body and health?
A lot of people say yes to that question. Then I ask them three things:
What’s your diet like?
What is your current training plan like?
Do you have any health issues?
Diet - Most people need to eat more often and consume more protein and decrease starchy carb intake. That is the bare minimum you need to change. If you’re not willing to change any of those…don’t complain when you aren’t where you want to be.
Current training - Switch it. Whatever you’re doing, stop doing it and train as far on the opposite end of the spectrum as you can. Common sense, if you have been running for 3 years and your body isn’t going anywhere, why do it? If you have been doing 3 sets of 10 for all exercises, switch it to 10 sets of 3. Body part split? Go full body work outs 3 times a week. Do the opposite of what you have been doing.
Health issues - This is a huge one! Let’s say you want bigger biceps if you’re a guy and a tighter ass if your a girl. For biceps, chin ups and straight bar curls. For glutes, squats and DL’s. Now let’s say if you’re a guy you have a mild impingement, tennis elbow and limited thoracic mobility…how the hell are you going to be able to do a chin up!? If you want a firmer butt and you have tight hip flexors, a weak back and core and limited thoracic extension…how the hell are you going to be able to squat?! You must fix your issues before you can reach your goals. People hate the warm up and AFS mobility drills that we do, however, very few of them suffer overuse injuries and even fewer have the typical office worker tight/weak syndrome.
If you are not willing to change any of the above…you will never reach your goals.
