Who watches MTV Cribs??? Come on show of hands, GET UM UP PEOPLE…I know you’re out there. I know you have occasionally clicked through the channels and stopped on MTV while Beyonce or Madonna or some other star was showing off their cars/house/bathroom/boom boom room.
Don’t pretend you don’t know what it is.
Anyway, I was just watching it and apparently it was a car episode. This rapper, Young Jeezy (nice name by the way, catchy and eloquent) rolled up in his blinged out escalade or some other ridiculously large SUV. He got out of the car and a song that he rapped (???) was playing in the background talking about throwing money around. So, of course, he started throwing money around, a decent amount, all over the parking lot.
The camera cuts away.
Now, I guarantee that as soon as the camera cut away he jumped onto the money (or he had one of his posse do it for him) and scooped it up before the wind could carry it away. I know this because on the next shot there was money strewn about in the car.
Ok, now unless this guy farts dollar bills I highly doubt he just has dollar bills just lying around in his car. I mean seriously, come on, who does that!
Moral to this post: If you’re going to pretend to be someone, make sure it someone that you can afford to be, i.e. don’t pretend to be someone you’re not.
Don’t pretend to know something you don’t, eventually you will be called out.
Don’t pretend to own something you don’t, eventually you will be asked to show it.
Don’t pretend to know someone you don’t, eventually you will be asked to be the introducer.
Just be you. You will go much farther in life.
